I enjoyed learning about Podcasting. I-pods seem to be the latest fad. A podcast is a combination of the words I-pod and broadcasting. People can now, with relative ease make voice recordings that can be converted into mp3s. Thus allowing the recording to be downloaded and listen to with your computer, mp3 player or cellphone. This really makes voice recordings very accessible, portable and on-demand for sharing with others. Much the way digital pictures have revolutionized photographs.
With this new technology, comes uses in education and learning. This technology will greatly assist the auditory learner. It would be especially beneficial for people trying to learn a second language. It could also make lectures more accessible and recordable.
